This registration is required by the Food Dealers and FSSAI registration is provided by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), who makes Standards & Regulations in relation to food safety in India.

Food business Operators are required FSSAI Registration and there are 3 types of FSSAI registration:

1. FSSAI Basic Registration: Where, Turnover is less than 12 lakh p.a.
2. FSSAI State Registration: Where, Turnover more than 12 Lakh and less than 20 Crore p.a.
3. FSSAI Central Registration: Where, Turn over more than 20 Crore p.a.
